Oh, I do put money into savings every month so it would come from there.

Then I definitely think you would be better off with out it lol. If I had the savings already and was continuing to put it away, I definitely wouldn't bother with it. I've never claimed in two years and I don't get any discounts for that face lol so I feel like its money I could've saved and put towards covering them myself. I know though that if I didn't have it something would've happened lol

I don't believe in insurance, so apart from the legal minimum like car insurance (if I had a car) I avoid it. I would rather pay for things if and when they happen, than throw money on innsurance, it seems like gambling to me, in a way, the only treatments I have had so far would not have been covered anyway because they would be under the excess..

I am leaning more in this direction...At this point its costing us close to $1000 a year in pet insurance, and I have to wonder what the likelihood over several years is that "emergencies" would add up to that.

Hopefully it will stay low for you but as I said earlier, mine for Kiki when I got her was only £12.74 a month and when it came time to renew it a year later, it went up to £30. I hadn't claimed and infact I'd had her spayed and microchipped during that time so I thought it would stay the same or even knock a few pounds off Kristi, I think for people who have as many dogs as you do, you'd be better off putting that $1000 in a bank account and if anything should happen, touch wood it doesn't, then take it out of there. I wish I were in a position to do the same thing

I started out getting it for Oakley b'c she's such a damn on-crack addict to jumping and I KNEW something would happen and I had her before we were married and then I couldn't afford to cover a huge vet bill--it just so happened my gut was right to get it and it did benefit us. But I am on the border now about it...
