Yeah, we raised Maxie, Mari & Marley (until he was 5mo anyway) on EVO. Both Mari & Maxie have nice straight legs. Marley, not so much but I think that's in his genes. We never had any problems with it other than porking the pups up. haha Milo couldn't get weight off to save his sole. He was eating 1/4c of EVO a day & still chunky. But as far as the puppies we raised on EVO...they all did great eating 2 meals a day (from 8wks on--with a snack mid-day) & grew just fine. If I was to feed kibble...I may try Orijen or Taste of the Wild before EVO (because of the PG thing--but I don't believe their formula has changed at all) but I wouldn't avoid it for any particular reason. Knowing what I know now...I'd more so suggest the ZiwiPeak. Mari's pups have been raised on it (wet at first mixed with THK & then once they reached 7 weeks they were switched to dehydrated ZP). We went to visit one of the pups today (they're 21wks) & he really looks FAB. He sometimes will snub his ZP so they have some Honest Kitchen Thrive for when he goes too long w/o eating which he gobbles up. So between those 2 foods he's doing really well. I hope you can find something that works for both of you. Having a picky dog can be somewhat of a pain. It's really hard at this age not to switch around until they eat something because you have hypo on the mind...but then it gets in a weird cycle. Damned if you do damned if you don't really! But hopefully you can figure something out.

thanks for all of the info Heather. i hadn't planned to take her off Royal Canin until she turned up her nose at it. but, as i am typing this, i hear her in the kitchen crunching away on her Royal Canin Puppy kibble! and, i didn't add anything to it. she just had a very lively play session with both Jerry and Tabitha and must have worked up an appetite! Here is a link about EVO and P&G evopet.com/tools/faqs-natura-pg.asp#One of the things I like about EVO is that it is made here in Nebraska and therefore readily available.

We tried to EVO Jerry is biting at this feet (probably the potatoes; he just doesn't do well on anything potato.) I won't feed it to Evie since she has decided to eat the Royal Canin Puppy. And it has far too many calories for Tabitha who is struggling with her weight. So, No EVO for us...

Bummer It is so hard to find something that works for everyone...poor Jerry. If Evie is eating her food well now I would do what they say and let sleeping dogs lie!
