The way I see it is it's no different to us taking vitamins. My dogs are in optimum condition their coats are in brilliant condition so i don't think a little oil here and there hurts And you have to remember some dogs have joint problems fish oil and glucosamine is a must for those pups

Im not criticising anyone, each to their own But, quality foods these days provide all the vitamins and nutrients dogs need so unless they are lacking somewhere I dont see the need to add a huge list of supplements to their food

A lot of foods now days actually contain more bad stuff that good and they have to add all the extra vitamins because they cook them out.
I know my dogs get everything they need from their diet however apparently omega 3,6 and essential fatty acids are depleted from supermarket meats so a lot of Raw feeders (me included) will add just to be safe! Same as the food manufacturers do so technically not adding anything more to the diet

Every kind of kibble will have vitamins and minerals added to them as they will be cooked out whilst the food is being made. Its the same when you cook meat. Even in a raw diet meat is not enough, we give organs as that is where they get the majority of their vit and minerals. Giving a few extras here and there just help along the process!
