Alfie is fed Ziwipeak, which he seems to be doing well on. Browsing online pet stores I see alot of health supplements for dogs. Who here has their dog on supplements? Are they necessary and if so how do you know which ones to use?

Wow Sarah! So how/why did you choose those ones? I fascinated by it but can't imagine how I would begin to know what ones to give...

A lot of those are just when/if they need it.
I've run out of everything lol but I give Salmon Oil (good for coats, joints, has omega 3 etc) Glucosamine (hopefully to help prevent LP lol although as far as I know none of mine have it in their lines but only Chaos is KC so can't know for sure with other two) Coconut oil (usually apply externally for their skin and coat but they love licking it off each other hahaha)
There will probably be a few more bids I add in as I learn lol.

I do salmon oil and vitamin E a couple times a week. It is high in omega 3 fatty acids and is anti-inflammatory. Vit E is an anti-oxidant and some people think that salmon oil depletes it, so I give them together. Great for skin/coat and general health.
I do Nupro a couple times a week which is an all around vitamin/mineral supplement powder and contains kelp. I alternate the Nupro with Missing Link which is another vitamin/mineral powder.
Coconut oil 1-2 times a week for skin/coat.
Hylox - glucosamine/chondroitin several times a week.
