How do you give olive oil? -Those who feed it. I can't get mine to eat it, they don't like the smell or taste so just ignore it.

I use fish4dogs salmon oil for my lot i have to use it on every feed as it encourages them to eat. I give them evening primrose oil every other day too but my boss moans at me for adding stuff to their food lol oh well it makes them eat thats the main thing. Got Jake some glucosamin & chronsomething but vet has said Carpal Valgus may or may not give him arthiritis early so now im not sure whether i should give it him or not as my boss has said no because he is on high quality food :S

She likes to give her opinion on what i feed my dogs etc lol in her defence she knows an awful lot more than i do about dogs because of her job/s but some times i choose to ignore
Im just not sure whether i should give it him now that the vet has said he may not get arthiritis like does it do them any harm to give it them anyway? Boss said not to give it because the food will help and i'll over do it but i dont know

Vets have about 2 hours training on nutrition. Not it won't harm lots of people give it as a supplement maybe read up on it then decide?

As far as olive oil goes, mine are the same. I just pour a tiny bit over their food but they'd happily lick it straight out of their feeding bowl!
Hollie you could try mixing it in with some mince so they they don't have a choice? llol

Ok, well for now I've ordered some of this stuff - www.petplanet.co.uk/product.asp?dept_id=24&pf_id=51978They may be pricier than buying individual stuff, they may not be any good, I don't know, but it looks like they cover alot of vitamins and health benefits in one tablet, so we'll see how we got with them.

I just started using supplements for them, Kristi helped me figure out the dosages and such.. lol. They are both on a high quality kibble, it's the only thing that has worked well for both girls, Fromm's Four Star Nutritionals Lamb and Sweet Potato, with a raw meal a couple days a week. They get- A squirt of Salmon Oil every day. Ester C- 250 mg a day (1/2 a gummi a day) Glucosamine and MSM, about 250 mg of each a day. And I got some Missing Link today, still need to figure out the dosages on that, and how often. They are actually getting 125 mg of Ester-C a day, the dosage is 2 gummies so 1 gummy = 250 mg, and getting 1/2 of one a day means 125 mg
