Thank you all so much for your replies. She seems a bit better at the moment, walking around a bit faster then she was earlier. She cried in pain when she was lying and tried to move earlier though. She also usually stretches when she gets up, but it's obvious she is afraid to due to the pain, so I'm assuming it could be something with her back or such. She is eating fine and had a normal bowel movement this afternoon so those are good signs. I just feel so horriblewhen I hear her cry out like that. Even after her LP surgery she never cried out in pain like that so it must really be hurting her. I'll let you all know what the vet says when I get back. Thanks so much for all the good thoughts.

I wonder if her pin might have slipped and it's sticking her? Is she favoring her leg? If not, then I'd still guess it was her back. Poor little Roo! I'll be watching this thread to see your update from the vet.

I just got back from the vets. Well, whatever it was it seems to have worked itself out as when we got there she acted ok. I could tell she was starting to feel better before we left, but I wanted to take her in anyway to have her looked at since she was obviously in pain yesterday and earlier today. When I got her in the car she stood up in her carrier so I knew it had likely worked itself out because she wouldn't have stood up like that before. She was even leery to stretch earlier today. Anyway, the vet manipulated her back, really went over her thoroughly and nothing. No crying at all. I know they respond differently at the vets, but she does seem better. She thinks it sounds like it was probably a pinched nerve. I know a few of you mentioned that. She said if she starts crying out again I can bring her in for a free recheck, so I'll see how it goes, but it seems to have resolved. She did say I could give her some metacam should it resurface tonight. I'm just thankful it let up and she seems ok. I'm queen worry wart though so I'm glad I took her in. She checked her legs too and said they looked excellent, very solid. She was really manipulating them which was cringing me. lol. She did say she could feel the pins in there easily and would agree with the ortho to have them removed as they can pinch and cause pain, plus it can make her legs act up with weather changes. So that confirmed my decision further to have them removed. Will probably do that sometime this month. I wonder if her pin might have slipped and it's sticking her? Is she favoring her leg? If not, then I'd still guess it was her back. Poor little Roo! I'll be watching this thread to see your update from the vet. Thanks Tracy. The pins do seem to bother her, but I don't think that had anything to do with her yelping. Her legs were the first thing I checked and I got no reaction from her. It was only when she was lifted a certain way that she yelped in pain.

Poor little one. So glad that she seems better. I am a worrying one too so I know what you mean. I'd have taken her, too. That sweet little Roo!

oh gosh, just like kids!!! They'd be feeling horrible - I'd panic and make a Dr.'s appt, and by the time we got there - they were perfect!! LOL! Well I'm glad. Hopefully it was just a pinched nerve or a strained muscle or cramp and it worked itself out.

Thank you so much, Karen and Tracy! I'm so relieved! She seems really tired now (I don't think she slept well last night) but other than that she seems ok. Karen - us worry warts have it bad, don't we. I wish I could be a more relaxed type. It's just so scary because they can't talk and tell you what's wrong. I'm just glad it seems to have passed. Tracy - LOL. I know. Isn't that just the way? We laughed about that at the vets. When she's not her usual funny, kooky fun loving self, it's scary. They love her at the vets because she is truly the best patient ever. You can do anything to her, she just has the best temperament. It was nice having her legs looked at too and getting a second opinion on how she was doing on that front too.
