Oh and let's not forget the deer head apple head thing!! Some nutty lady came up to us and asked what kind of chihuahua Brody was. I was like 'well he's just a chihuahua' and she said (like she was an expert) there are 2 kinds. Apple heads and deer heads. She thought he was closer to an apple head but he had some deer head in him too, right? OH BROTHER!!!!! LOL!

When it comes to small dogs, random people you meet seem to think they know everything! I have met many people that tell me my dogs are too big to be teacups/are teacup chihuahuas/are oversized chihuahuas/are probably crossed with dachshund, papillion, pom, etc. just to name a few things. I just don't get it...

I had a girl at a drive thru that asked if Ivy was a mix breed....because she apparently is bigger than a "teacup" - she is 7 lbs....anyways....I just said yeap & drove on.....I wasn't about to get into it with her, lol. If people would just read up & do the research....then they would know.
Also...around here...I have noticed that some are so obsessed with the size of a Chihuahua....like they are in competition to have the smallest size dog....I honestly could care less what size mine is...as long as they are healthy. If Ivy was any smaller...I would be in fear all the time that she would escape out of the fence. My mom has a 2-3 lb Chihuahua…..& she is always telling people “look at my tea cup chi”…… rolling eyes….I can’t get thru to her…..I may find a link online & email to her….then she can read up about it, lol.

I totally agree!!! Im contently teaching people about chihuahuas. I HATE that term >_<
Mine are about the 4.5-5lb im glad they are bigger when i got Doc the breeder said he might only get to 3.5 but im happy he got bigger. When they are really small im scared they could get hurt easier. My friend has one that was the runt and she is only 3.5.. too small for me... specialty since i want kids gota make sure they are less damageable ^_^

I find it odd - either people really expect chis to fit in teacups, or, they are shocked how small say Trigger is, who is 7 lbs. How you get people in either camp is beyond me, LOL. I've had people tell me that Birdie and Ivy are big, but Birdie is 4.5 lbs and Ivy is 5, how is that big? I do get asked if Oakley and Leah are teacups, ALL THE TIME. Drives me crazy Oddly no one asks about Bryco being a teacup, ever. He'd probably bite them if they did! He's allll man, and teacups are sissy :-p JK but yeah, I find it odd no one has ever asked that about him, as he's a tiny armful at best. I have been asked if he is a deer head though, WTF?

Ahahahaha this cracks me up it's when they get excited and go I have a teacup *enter breed* and I go OH iy gets tiring telling them!!
Omg the size thing is my BUG bare!!! Lol I frequently use to get annoyed when I was on another size obsessed forum! Either your dogs within standard or not, if you aren't showing/breeding it doesn't matter at all it's a bloody dog!!!!
Lol Kristi is bryco related to bambi??? Tracy you should of said oh no no deer in him he's not a cannible he's a carnivore lol
