Man Terri I can't believe Daisy's teeth are so stubborn! It sounds like she lets you brush and I've never heard of the gel not working when people brush too... It worked awesome for Laurel, her mouth was never ever dealt with prior to meeting me and it was scary--yy-y-y haha. Anyway, if you find another product that works definitely share it as one thing can't work for everyone!

I got some of that CSJ stuff to try out so will see if that works, if not i'll try the dorwest stuff. Trying to brush their teeth everyday is a nightmare, Jake is such a brat about it

Terri have you tried brushing w/ 1 part 3% hydrogen peroxide to 2 parts water? You dip the toothbrush in and then brush. The bubbles help get rid of tarter/plaque. I forgot to put that in the article but I try to brush that way 2-3 times a week to help the brushing get up under their gums.

Before I started brushing and using the PetzLife gel his teeth had a little bit of hardened tartar on his bottom teeth and it just won't budge nomatter what. I use the Petz Life once a day and brush his teeth really well every night. It came off his canines, (took awhile though) but there are small bits that just won't budge off a few of his bottom teeth. I wonder if I should try the gel twice a day.

I would try it twice a day Paula, it can't hurt...or, possibly try scraping it off yourself...where on the tooth is the tarter? gumline?

Paula, the petzlife will soften it and then you can just pop it off. With your fingernail or use a dental scraper. If he will let you, follow the scraping with a polishing, like one of the rotating toothbrushes they sell for little kids or one of the oral B's ultrasonic ones, etc.

Thanks Tracy. I tried to pop it off with my nail, but no go. I might need to get a scraper. I'm sure I could use an ultrasonic toothbrush on him afterward too, he's really good with the tooth brushing now.
