Okay, it IS possible that I am feeding Birdie too much. She is SOOOO thin though she really needs to put some weight on.
But, after her breakfast, she throws up 3, maybe 4 or 5 times during the rest of the morning...and eats it again (gross)...but I have no idea why? I did just start her on half doses of the supplements everyone else gets, so I guess it could be that?
Or am I feeding her too much? She's getting around 5 oz a day, between pre-mades or whatever other rmb/ meat/ organs she gets. And she is not putting on any weight, just staying mega thin.
She is never interested in her food either I have to put her in a crate alone w/ it in a room alone to get her to eat, otherwise, too many distractions.

It's strange she's throwing it up!! Unless she is eating huge chunks??
5oz is a lot for a chi but maybe you need to feed more fattening meats? Gonna recommend adding in tripe again

Its mostly AM, the pre-made meal I usually feed -- so its all mushed up. I think the supplements are upsetting her tummy maybe. Shes not throwing up much, just some...weirdo.

Could be the supplements--maybe take them out for a few days & see if it makes a difference. If it does & she stops maybe just add them back very gradually? 5oz is a lot of food but shouldn't be so much it's making her sick I wouldn't think....

She should weigh at LEAST 4.5 lbs but is only just coming in over 4 lb, when I was doing 4 oz, she was creeping back down under 3. She was kibble free-fed before coming to me and raw in the evening. Shes very healthy so I don't think its a health thing, just seems like upset tummy. Like she'll play really hard, stop in the middle, puke up a mouthful, and then they will all go mad trying to eat it, and go back to playing...UGH! I haven't taken her temperature or anything yet, but she is still a puppy and a growing puppy at that so I didn't feel 5ish oz was too much but I also did up her food right around the time I started adding the morning supplements. So I guess no supplements tomorrow, and we will see if she does better.

Oh I was going to say Gambit usually vomits food up when he gets chicken with the skin on because he doesn't chew it and just tries to swallow it whole but if its the pre-mades I'd definitely try eliminating different factors first. So no supplements, then maybe cut the meals down in to smaller portions through out the day and see which seems to be the cause! I would definitely try more fattenting meats and as Sarah said, definitely some tripe. Kiki is about 5.8lbs and is on 2.7oz a day. She is maintaining the weight so much better and only has tripe once a week now.

I have not got her on full raw yet, just chicken -- and chicken or lamb pre-mades. I tried her on some pork and it waddn't pwetty ha ha. I will see if I can get her to eat lunch or something. She'll eat loads of treats but that's not exactly a balanced diet...maybe try her on some Ziwipeak at noon or soemthing and act like its cookies. my little rail dog ha ha ha.

I don't know if its harder to get but I just give the frozen minced tripe, I don't give fresh tripe. I can just about handle the smell of the frozen stuff lol but they all wolf it down!
