Oh Kristi, I would lay money on it that it is the glucosamine. That causes puky tummies on ALOT of dogs! Not sure why, but my mom's dogs couldn't tolerate it and my brothers berner pukes when on it too. Brody even threw up the other morning when I added glucosamine to his breakfast. It's hard on stomachs.
I'd stop that for sure and maybe the other supplements too and just keep her on the food only for a few days. I bet that will clear it up!

Ignore what I said about not chewing enough- I didn't read th op properly in my sleepy state.
If you are feeding a pre-made that is in mush form- coulf it be that she is eating ti too quickly? as it doesnt have the natural pacing effect that a raw meaty bone has where it takes time for them to chew the meat off. Just throwing the idea out there. x

Hollie - No she picks at it like a bird (no pun intended teehee), Hollie! Like it takes her 10 min to eat a bowl of pre-made. Drives me up a wall, LOL. I have one or two that eat way too quickly (Trigger...and Trigger), and they do puke it right back into the bowl sometimes to eat it again...gross! But no, she eats slowly, and chews her bone-in chicken just fine.
Tracy - I had NO idea glucosamine could cause pukey tummies! The rest of mine have always done fine...hmmm! Okay so maybe what I need to do is just add one thing in per week, and that way I know what is causing the icky tummy, but if glucosamine is common, I'll bet you are right. I wonder if instead I can give her hylox or something, after she has had food in her belly for a bit, if it is the glucosamine, and she will tolerate that? I guess I will figure that one out when I can pin it down to the glucosamine. I was thinking it might be the salmon oil too...but who knows. Her stools are completely normal and healthy so lol that is good at least.
Heather - yeah, their prices are pretty high at hare-today! I feed mostly beef because I can get it reasonably from the ranch here that is organic/grass fed/etc etc their bone content comes from chicken and the pre-mades, and pork is if I can get a good deal on it lol. They do get lamb pre-made too, and duck-duck-goose. I am probably worrying too much about their variety. I need to get venison this fall too, when hunting season starts.

Interesting about the glucosamine! Had no idea about that either.... Yeah you're doing fine with variety. Rotating even 4 proteins is more than most dogs get if you really think about it. LOL That's great you have that beef ranch where you can get it reasonably. We tend to not to beef where it doesn't settle well in Mari's tummy but lately I've just been getting small S&C patties for her on days so the rest of the lot doesn't miss out. It works out perfectly so not everyone misses out because of one dog. If you can hit a big venison score in the fall you'll have it made! I've tried in the past with no takers other than those legs we got from my brother. Maybe this year... LOL

A bunch of guys at hubby's work hunt and they will all get deer -- so, even if we have to buy some off of them, I bet we can get some..I hope! He is going to go hunt but he has a bull tag and they are hard to find around here (plus he's never got one ha ha!).
Yeah, I guess most dogs get chicken their whole lives...

Man, get as much venison as you can! That stuff is about perfect. We got a couple of hearts, some lung, and a couple of livers from a friend of David's and I was thrilled! Heart is such a great meat, so rich and full of nutrients. Yeah, that glucosamine can be really hard on tummies. I found a good deal on glycoflex III so I bought a package of it. Right on the back of the package it says "Administer during of after the animal has eaten to reduce incidence of gastrointestinal upset." I just bet that is what is causing her pukes.

It has to be one of the supplements because she's not doing it after dinner and I fed her S & C intentionally tonight to see if it was that, but she's been fine. Hmmm...I'll be bummed if I can't give her glucosamine!
