I haven't been able to find anywhere to get tripe around here -- there only is bleached stuff I've seen? I have seen tripett at the pet store is that any good? I give them tripe sticks sometimes and it is so gross I can barely tolerate it.

Just had a look at Tripett because we don't have that here. I would assume it would work just the same. It says its pure green tripe and no fillers or preservatives etc. On the ingredients its got beef tripe, water, garlic, vegetable gum. Not sure what that is?
Anyway, if she likes it, I'd give it a try. Its honestly worked wonders for us!

Yeah, the tripett is good Kristi--I've used it several times. I find it the same as canned ZP. ZP makes a tripe formula too you may want to take a peek at? Have you looked any more into ordering from Hare-Today or is the shipping to you just too steep? I've been lazy & have been doing premades for a couple months but just placed a big order. Anyway...they have tripe that's really reasonable but if the shipping is too steep to you than it sort of puts a damper on it....
Birdie does look like she's a bean pole. LOL She must just be one to require a ridiculous amount like Marley was. LOL Until he was just over 1 I had him on 6-7oz of raw otherwise he was WAY too thin!
So is she just burping up stuff & swallowing it down or actually throwing up on the ground & eating it again. Matilda does the burping up thing after she eats certain fatty protiens or has salmon oil...

She kinda burps it up. Like it's not a full on hurl...makes me think...tummy is very full, and it's not all in there b'c there's too much, but she needs it all! That said, she doesn't throw up after dinner but I don't do supplements in the evening. I am betting its the supplements, and maybe even the salmon oil? She's getting Missing Link Vet Strength (1/4 teaspoon), 1 small squirt salmon oil, angel's eyes and glucosamine/chondroitin from Wal*greens. That's probably a lot to handle I'd guess if your stomach wasn't used to it, I just have never broken any of mine into anything "easy" LOL, so ... yeah! I was even giving her half doses! I need to see if she'll eat Ziwi b'c that is an easy way to get a lot of calories into a "small space". Does Matilda actually burp up about a teaspoon or so of food tho or is she just belching? ALL mine belch but nothing comes up ha ha they are pigs and eat so fast they sit around burping for 4 or 5 min after .... so "cute"...not.
I haven't ordered from hare today yet b'c of how pricey it is to ship, yeah...ugh...I want to but I need to figure out what is worth paying for the shipping on. I can get grass fed free range beef reasonably here and they eat a LOT of that. Chicken I can get too obviously but it's not free range, pork as well. Beyond those 3, I sometimes get ground lamb, but their boney meals are basically chicken and that's it. Their organs are beef organs cuz walmart has them. Plus, of course, they get organs in the pre-mades. I would love to do some more exotic meats like goat, rabbit, etc. I just feel bad spending that much money on food for them when we don't even spend that for us! It costs me around $120 a month to feed my crew the way I do as it is, which really is not that bad I guess. Idk haha.

She sometimes actually burps up food/water but gulps it down before it lands. Sometimes it makes it to the floor/couch/bed (ugh LOL). Took me a while to figure out but it definitely is caused by salmon oil so I've cut it out & use coconut oil for her. It's more indigestion than throwing up though but I explain it as she just "burps up" due to the indigestion. I tried her on THK Perfect Form to see if it would help but it didn't work at all. Not only does she burp up but she does a weird head bobbing thing just before. When she first started that I thought she was having mini-seizures. haha Sometimes even chicken grind from HT or even pork causes it. I think it's because it's more liquidy/bloody?? When she happens to eat something that causes it I have Gas Busters that has slippery elm & it does help relieve her symptoms.
I'd try leaving out the salmon oil & see if that helps maybe? I tried cutting the dose for Matilda but it still gave her indigestion... Coconut oil does but not nearly as bad...

Oh & for HT...their prices have gone up a LOT lately. Especially the more exotic stuff! Beef, chicken, pork are all the cheapest...as is tripe. I think tripe is still under $9 for a 5lb tub. Turkey is down there too compared to a lot. Pork, turkey & beef is what I get the most of--and I also got a couple whole ground rabbit tubs but it's quite pricey at I think $18ish for 5lbs. I didn't see until after I'd placed my order they have whole skinned/gutted rabbits for like $17. May try that next time....

Eva does not do well on oil supplements, she throws up if I give her salmon/ olive/ coconut oil.
If she is throwing up and re- eating it could she be re-gurgitating to re-chew it because she has not chewed it thoroughly enough to digest?
