Okay so...when we first got Hero at 14 weeks old, he spent a SOLID month absolutely screaming at the top of his lungs (and it is NOT a pleasant sound) ALL night long. We had to resort to having him sleep in the basement and we still could hear him. I have never, ever had one do this past a week of them being crate trained. He continues now, at over 6 months, with his screaming starting at about 5 am. WILL NOT SHUT UP. I am going absolutely insane losing sleep because he is the loudest damn dog in the world... Any one have any suggestions on how to stop this behavior when I am not even in the room with him to stop it? He is such a little bastard. I swear, he DOES NOT sleep. And he DOES NOT SHUT UP. And he has the highest ear piercing pitched 'screech'/scream/bark/whine I have ever heard... I want him to stooooooooooooooooooop. (And he has been in the dog room but after 4 months of this ridiculous screeching starting at 5 am...I want him back in the basement...but Kimber is in heat and is currently jailed down there...so...I don't really feel like it's fair to put him down there...but I might have to for my sanity. he is TERRIBLE!).

Oh Dear ! .... does he have a best buddy and pair him up .... or buy him the biggest bone you can find and hopfully he will spend all night chewing the bone rather then howling the house down ! ............... oh what about leaving the radio on or the telly at night for him lol ? prehaps he just wants some entertainment. Or prehaps when he starts to howl sounds harsh spray him with some cold water not nice though ...... or even try one of those anti bark plug ins there have been some great reviews of them here on the forum ...... good luck i fear soon you will be going to bed with ear defenders on ! not great for the sex life bahahahah x

Nope, if he is in a crate with someone else he just fights with them and I get to hear THAT all night. I figured he would outgrow this but it is getting seriously ridiculous.
Radio is already on...he has chewies in his crate...
Tried spraying him with water....but its not effective as he usually stops when I come in the room.
LOL on the ear plugs...I've considered it, seriously. I am just so exhausted, I need a good night's sleep and the little turd will not shut up.
I did try putting one of the bark-off things in his crate (its a small sonic back stopper) but it didn't do anything. UGH!

What about a citronella collar? Emma swears by it for bracken when he starts yowling he gets a Puff of lemon in his face hahahahahaha I shouldn't laugh but she tells it so funny (Lucy and Louise will get how funny her explanations are bahahahahahah)
Gag him? Lmao joke. Idk what to suggest but something must be getting to him. Will he fight a bitch? I'd be inclined to put him in with whoreal
