Those that have ordered, what can you recommend? I NEED to get Louie back on Raw asap! He stinks and I just haaaate the kibble, and his teeth aren't amazing either Not bad, but I can see bits of plaque starting to build up I need to get whatever is cheapest/easiest to feed tbh, oh and I only have maybe 1 drawer in the freezer if that. I also need to get his teeth sorted so any suggestions for regular dental care would be great! Oh and I cannot get anywhere near him with a toothbrush, he freaks As he's been on kibble for a while do I need to start back with chicken again or can I just go straight to using the minces? Hes never had an upset tummy the whole time i've had him.

I'd just throw him in at the deepens but be warned he may poo lol
Raw to go are good but you need to add in extra liver and a bit of kidney because their percentages aren't spot on!! I also give bone meals for teeth. Order in bulk tho way cheaper

Its the percentages i suck at tbh! lol
I was thinking of ordering the sample pack as that would probably be enough for him for a while, and i'm unsure which other stuff I should order.
Are chicken wings enough for his teeth or should I be feeding other bones to?

Looking forward to answers to this as I am seriously considering changing mine over - or at least giving Pixel a try at it.
The shop isn't too far from me.
Is this place cheaper than a butcher? What makes it easier than organising it yourself.

Order whatever you like go for 40 packs for £10 postage!!! It's better value
They do 80 10 10 but the idiots count heart and lung as organs so I add in extra liver and kidney to be safe. Just a chunk with a bone meal!
Chicken wings are fine.. I use chicken necks, duck necks, pork ribs etc !! What I will say is we found their duck and chicken mixes to be more bone heavy and some of the others made them sloppy so you just have to work out what works best and how to deal with the runs so I just alternate with bone meals If I know it's gonna make them sloppy!
It's a good product they are supplied by DAF btw bit unfortunately don't have a clue about the need for liver they say their liver content is max 2% unless u buy beef and liver so I just whack a chunk of liver in and a little Bit of kidney just in case!!

Yep, like Sarah said!
I put Rogue straight on to raw to go when we got home (and Natural Instinct Pure Chicken) and the chicken is so bone heavy that she did strain to go, so I think if you are worried about switching, just go for chicken for the first few days. I must say though that after that I was giving her the meaty mix, lamb, beef, duck etc and she had no problem whatsoever.
They also do duck necks which are great for chewing. I found chicken necks in Asda so bought some for Sarah and me although they don't seem to be much of a chew for them lol.
How much was Louie getting per day?
And again, as Sarah said you will need to add in a bit of extra organ. I was a bit disappointed when I phoned up DAF (the manufacturers) and they seemed to not be very knowledgeable about the need for liver etc. However, its a fab product, human grade meat and I have found it incredibly reasonable to feed my 4!!

Yeah I just need to get whatever raw that is easiest/cheapest really coz i'm skint and suck with working it all out.
Is there anyone else that sells pre-made raw at the right ratio?
I think Louie was having around 4oz but think I may be able to cut it to 3.5oz I need to weigh him again but hes around 7lbs/7.5lbs I think

To be honest, you aren't going to find any closer than raw to go. You won't need to add in much more apart from like a few bone in meals and one organ meal a week. If he's 7lbs and you want to maintain that weight, you would feed him 3oz a day. So 1.5 in the morning, 1.5 in the evening. I personally cant do ounces lol so in grams, this is what I'd do... 3oz is about 85g which is what Chaos gets a day. I defrost the pack of raw to go, then I weigh out 85g portions, put it in to freezer bags, write what is it on the front (and who its for, but you only have one) and freeze. Then the night before, I get out the bag, put it on a plate and into the fridge to defrost. In the morning I give half of whats in the bag and half again at dinner time. I like to add in extra liver to top up what he's getting from the mix so I add in 30g on a Saturday. You could give with a chicken wing tip. And you can split between two days so its not an entire meal, I just do it that way because I can remember it and I give the duck mix (because its bone heavy) on the Friday night. On the days you're giving bone in, you can give a chicken or duck neck. Just cut off and weigh 42ish grams and give it to him. And this is all only because I am so anal about how much they're getting. I admit some days they do get more if I'm not too fussed with weighing or im in a rush. It doesn't have to be completely exact I know it seems daunting but raw to go makes it SO much easier. I'm lazy and I have 4 dogs and I promise you, once you've portioned up the food, its just like feeding kibble, obviously except for bone-in meal days, which I would definitely still give if you want the dental benefits. You don't have to do it how I've said, just giving you an idea of what I do. Everyone finds what they're comfortable with and can adjust it to their own dog. As an example of cost, the mixes come in 454g packs. That will give you about 5 days for Louie. The lamb mix is 65p per pack so it would cost you 65p to feed Louie for 5 days. DEFINITELY worth it and will work out loads cheaper than kibble
