Raw feeders what benefits do you find from feeding raw??
We see clean teeth and fresh breath, no awful dog smell, clear eyes, chilled out dogs, amazing soft shiney coat, less shedding, slow growth in pups, a lean muscular body

Teeth!!! Eva hates having her teeth touched or brushed, but she will never say no to a bone to chew. I'm so glad the raw feeding has sorted out her teeth or I would have to start going to the vet for dentals. The mini-poops are a big bonus of raw I feed orijen every now and then when I can't do raw or run out, and I forget how big and obnoxious dog food poops are. The workout the dogs get from a nice big bone is great. I have started feeding the pork spine peices and adding mince to get the proportions right. After gnawing on a pig spine peice for an hour Eva is actually tired and falls asleep! Feo loves the mental stimulation of chewing a bone and gets less bored in the evenings.

I was feeding raw last year for a while and went back to kibble (Orijen) because raw was becoming too expensive for me as Kiki has quite a high metabolism so needs a lot of food.
Anywho, I was actually using chicken as our staple and even though 50% of the diet should be red meat, I just couldn't afford it. I did give them beef and pork whenever I could afford it but I must say that when chicken was their main food, they still had no so great breath (better than when on kibble) and some tear stains under their eyes. She also shed the same amount and was as hyper as ever (but all of my dogs are like that!). I have no idea if they just weren't getting enough beef or lamb etc and that was the cause?
I loved that they produced small poo's though and never had gas! hahaha Also, their teeth were lovely and white and they really ENJOYED eating their food so much more!

I was spending loads of money on raw in the past but now I have 2 dogs on raw and I am broke I've had to economise. My staple now is free butchers bones and cheap tesco mince because the buthchers bones aren't meaty enough. Buthcer gives me tons and tons, I don't think many people ask for them nowadays, but he is just happy they are not being wasted and thrown away like normal. I get lamb and pork ribs and spines, chicen breast bones and a load of other miscelaneous things I can't figure out. Now I feed raw with quite a small cost thankfully, but without a local butcher I couldn't do that.

My butcher CHARGES for bones. They're tight ******** in there. I will have to find another place to see if they do it!
