Oh no!!! That is terrifying. I'm so sorry this happened, I wouldn't know what to do with myself.
I'm glad she is acting alright, hopefully there isn't anything really serious going on underneath. Please do keep us updated!

Oh gosh, hun. I'm sure she will be fine, but how awful and so scary for you. The crazy things that can happen. I'm so glad she seems fine. Let us know what your vet says. xx

Just got back from the vets, they did a bunch of different xrays and it seems two small pieces of bone that were developing on the very edge of her soft spot got snapped off. The actual structural integrity of her skull is still fine though thank goodness. The vet said we need to keep an eye on the chips because they could cause abscesses but she thinks that nothing will go wrong and she will heal on her own. She put her on antibiotics 'just in case' for 7 days, and also gave her a pain injection in case she was uncomfortable but she didn't show any discomfort when her head was felt so we don't think she is in any pain.
It's like, of all things, how in the world did THIS happen? I'm so thankful it wasn't worse and very mad at the stupid boys for causing it to happen!

Wow, what a freak thing to happen! I'm so glad that it seems to be nothing to worry over and that it will heal on its own. I wonder how often something like this happens and clueless owners don't realize that part of the skull has fractured? It may be more common than we think!

That is what my vet said, Tracy. She still wanted to run xrays for all the obvious reasons, most importantly to make sure the skull plates and skull integrety weren't compromised, but she said with how thin the bone can be around the opening of the molera, all it takes is a little dog standing up fast under something hard and it can happen I'm so thankful it doesn't seem to be anything major but its still sort of traumatic!
