I also switched Luxie to ZP Venison cold turkey and she did fine, no tummy issues at all

Don't be disturbed if they both blow some coat - it happens when they switch to a grainfree food or a dehydrated raw etc. I use the lamb exclusively (other flavors make me gag lol), and mine get it about 50% of the time and do great on it. Much better than they did on the frozen prepared raws. I would add some water in, too I hope the food works for you guys but if it doesn't, we will be here to hopefully help you find something else! One very important thing to remeber is it can take 12 weeks for a dogs system to adjust and reflect any changes from a new food. So, whatever you try, you will want to try for approximately that long as there are no 'gross' problems per se

Oh yes...add water! If we don't add water mine have a problem getting it down & walk around with their rib cages puffed out as it makes it's way down. (scary!) Water is perfect & gives them a little hydration for processing as well which is a bonus. LOL Kristi & your venison formula aversion...too funny! I think they all smell the same. The venison formulas are definitely dryer than the lamb probably because lamb has more 'fat'? Hey...at least the lamb is a bit cheaper though. LOL Has anyone else heard about them coming out with a couple new formulas in the next year? I heard something about beef & rabbit or something? That would be soooo great!!!!

They ate their breakfast just fine. I'm not sure how much to feed. Jerry was on .9 ounces of kibble per meal. That looks huge in ZP, so I cut it back to .6 ounce for breakfast. Tabitha gets .3 and she looks stuffed. They don't seem to have any problem after meals. Just lounging on their dog bed as usual. I'm taking back the remaining bags of Royal Canin and order more Ziwi I should mention that they slowed down their eating this morning. Sort of lingered over breakfast and enjoyed it. Definitely no sharing this time

I'm so excited for you Therese!!! Nothing to add. Just wanted to say that. Thanks Tracy. I can't wait to see the changes in my babies on their new food. I really, really hope Jerry's tear stains and flakey skin clear up too.

How exciting!!! You really don't need much food with them. Therese it should help their teeth too as no carbs which cause more plaque build up than normal. Give it a couple of months and you'll see a change

I switched cold turkey to ZP as well and had no issues. Both my guys do great on it, I'm a big fan.
