Mine ride in a crate on the floor behind the passenger seat. I want to get a doggy type booster car seat, but I can't find anything that seems safe enough in an accident. I am a big car seat safety person, so I was to make sure they are as safe as possible. I need to find something! The crate works for now, and they do great with it, but as adults I dunno how well it'll work, and I want them to be able to look out the window and stuff. Here's a dog crash test- wachusett.pssweb.net/Test%20report%20pets%20in%20cars-1.pdf

The ones with the spot for the seat belt strap to go through it. Mine go absolutely nutso crying in it though so I don't use it and use the bucket seat.

Sarah where did you buy your girls booster seat from? I'd like to try Louie with one and see if it makes any difference. I could attach it to my back seat and have the window open for him as the back windows don't wind down they just prop open slightly on a catch. x

I think they'd get hurt slamming into those grates...I just make sure they are bucked in snugly enough in their carseat they can't slam into anything.
