I took her for a walk outside when we got home and she did awesome. It's so wonderful not to see her carrying her leg outside anymore. I'll probably still keep a gate up for a bit just so she doesn't go wild. If it was Pip, I wouldn't have too, he's more laid back, whereas Roo is really spirited and playful. It was great seeing that side of her again, I really missed it!

Oh Paula I am so thrilled for you and Roo! This is such excellent news. I bet it seems as if this time has dragged on forever! Perhaps if you get a little bit of time, could we get a video of Miss Roo ;D

Thank you so much, Tracy and Lucy. I really appreciate your kind words and support. I'll try to get a video of Roo soon. ;D At the moment I'm x-penning her again for a bit because she is just bursting with excitement and using her legs a little too much, too fast. It's funny but I have seen videos of dogs recovering from LP that were allowed completely free much sooner than her (some just weeks after) and they walk around relatively quietly. Don't even try to run. Well, that's not Roo. She is like a puppy, I swear. She is such a very joyful, full of life little girl, that it's probably a little too soon for me to give her complete freedom because once she gets going, it's hard to stop her. The ortho left it to my discretion saying if she uses it too much and starts running around like crazy to try and refrain her for a bit so her legs don't get sore. That's what I'm back to doing. She was running like crazy and was making leaps into her bed. I think she can't believe she's free. It was like she wanted to do all her favorite things at once. Haha. It was pretty cute seeing her get her favorite toys out of her toy box. The toy box was dormant for lmost 2 months, aw. I'm hoping she won't need the pins and wires removed next month, but we'll see.
