Does anyone happen to have this? www.entirelypets.com/snugglesafe.htmlYou put it in the microwave for 6 minutes and the heat is supposed to last for 12 hours. Seems an awfully long time for it to stay warm, but it gets good reviews. I was thinking about getting it to put under the bedding in Roo's crate. Trying to think of anything to make her time in there a bit more comfy.

No, I didn't get one. Don't laugh, but I started to picture crazy stuff like it starting a fire in her crate. Nuts I know. lol.

Haha Paula my dad is a fire safety nut and he would be horrified if I had a space heater or electric blanket in my house, Ive been raised to be fire safety paranoid! I havent tried them but they sound just like the one Heather had for Zoey, I think those were called Kozy Mats or something. Worth a try!

I have one Paula! That exact one in the ad!!
I like it. It does heat up nicely and very evenly. You have to try it several times in your microwave to find out exactly how long to heat it up so that's it not too hot, but definitely warm. I don't know if it really lasts 12 hours though. Although I guess it's still warm when I get Brody up in the morning after using it, but I thought that's because he was lying on it.
It is very, very hard. Like a brick. And about the size of a frisbee. Kind of heavy too. So once you put it in her bed, it's going to stay right where you put it and not move around. The little cover on top of it doesn't really cushion it at all. So I sometimes wrap it in a fleece blanket or cover it and then put it in Brody's bed so he's not lying right on top of it since it's hard.

Yay I'm not the only paranoid one then! ;D It would be nice to have something that doesn't plug in so I could leave it with her when I'm at work. There's no way would I feel safe leaving a plugged in heating source in her crate when I'm not there so this seemed like a good solution. I have one Paula! That exact one in the ad!!

The way it looks sorta hard is the only thing that put me off a bit. I'd put it under a bunch of blankets, hopefully the heat will still get through. The idea of it being hard like a brick is sorta weird, but I might give it a go anyway. It's really hard to find anything that stays warm that doesn't plug in. Roo loves to be super warm to. I'm trying to trick her into liking the crate more.
