Is that allowed in the UK though? I was really shocked, but especially because they apparently were allowed to sell puppies like that

I really and truly don't understand how people can be so cruel and disgusting. How can anyone think that those living conditions are acceptable in any way. Punishment isn't harsh enough for these people. It's basically a slap on the wrist and a stupid fine. BIG DEAL! They should have to live EXACTLY how they made their dogs live. Maybe if the punishment fit the crime, these people would think twice before setting up shop. UGH!!!!!

Thats what I thought. The really sad thing is that people ARE actually going there to buy a puppy . I couldnt even imagine doing that. However, if no one would buy a puppy there no more, they would probably stop selling them as it wouldnt be worth it anymore. But unfortunately, idiots still do and puppies will have to suffer for it

The problem is, you either have the ignorant people who just don't understand (or maybe don't want to understand) where these pups come from and what the conditions are like for them and their parents. Then you have the people who know where they come from but think that they're saving the pup and by buying it and giving it a better life. I've seen pups in pet shops before and they just don't look right and its so hard to walk away and leave them there. I guess it sounds harsh but I think you have to sacrifice those pups to save thousands more, but a lot of people don't or won't see it that way. I watched a programme once on it and they were saying about these dogs and there was one lady who had a dog that had come from puppy farms (but hadn't realised at the time) and it was fine and then one day it just flipped and from then on it was just start randomly attacking family members. They ended up having these MRI scans and loads of tests done and apparently it was something to do with the dogs brain and it was this hereditary thing. In the end they had the dog pts, even though they really didn't want to. Its all very, very sad

Some places are rife with puppy farms, ireland has massive problams because there animal welfare laws are very lax and have lots of loopholes. I think wales has a problem to??? When I took all my dogs for the vetr for the first time he asked what geographical are they came from. I think a lot of people get duped into buying battery farmed puppies from middlemen houses from what I have read. I have seen ads on websites before of a chihuahua next to the "litter" of 9 puppies that she supposedly gave birth to. Funny seeing as that breaks the world record.
