Awww poor Buck! I'm so sorry this happened. One of my biggest fears as well. I'd just suggest lots of chews/bullies/kongs/maybe even one of those "games" where they have to work to find treats inside different doors & such. Poor guy...and poor you! I hope his leg heals nice & straight so it doesn't effect his showing at all. Will be thinking of him!

He is doing ok thanks. We had to go back to the vets yesterday as he decided to remove the padding from inside his cast.
The vet said she didn't think he was being naughty but was in pain because there was a sharp corner on the cats which she though was rubbing him. She removed the corner and out tape over the top to make it more comfortable.
Within 5 minutes of being at home he was at it again. He is now wearing an elastic bandage stuffed with paper tied round his neck to stop him getting at it.
The MIL came yesterday and bought a pack of chicken wings for him but we do have towatch his weight as he tends to get fat very easily.

Sadly I have to report bad news about Buck's leg despite being in a cast for 3 weeks it is not healing. He has not bothered about it all this time but this morning and all day he has been crying. We went back to the vets and when she unwrapped it it was obvious there was a problem. She gave us the choice to amputate or to see the specialist. We are now waiting for a phone call to tell us if he has to go in tonight or tomorrow morning.
