Oh no I'm so sorry to hear that Is the Monday appointment for the specialist? Yes he has to be at the orthopedic vets in Nantwich for 9.30 on monday morning. I have to go to my vets today and collect his xrays and some painkillers for him. Hopefully they will be able to operate on monday afternoon although I am not sure when we will be able yo collect him I would imagine they will keep him in over night.

I have just been to the vets and collected his xrays. They have put them onto a cd but I don't know if I dare trying to download them onto my laptop. Anyone idea if it is ok?

Depending on what file format they're in, you should be able to view them on your laptop.

Will the laptop just not read the disc if it isn't right? I don't want to damage the xrays before the vets sees them

Oh you won't do anything to the X-rays. There's no way to "damage" them, and even if the disc itself got damaged, I would assume the X-rays would be stored at the vet who gave them to you anyway. The disc will be read-only so you can safely view the X-rays on your laptop, provided you have the correct program to view them in. I'm not sure what file format an X-ray would be saved as, but if its just as a jpeg, which is a picture, your laptop should be able to read them just fine
