Buck has had the dressing taken off today. We were surprised at how small the wound was it is about 3" long. Warning photos are a bit gruesome

Awwww poor thing. That looks sore and painful but the actual incision looks clean and like its healing well.

Awwww poor thing. That looks sore and painful but the actual incision looks clean and like its healing well. He is on pain killers and antibiotics at the moment. The wound isn't actually as big as I said it is when I had a good look at iot last n ight it is quite a bit smaller than I originally thought.

I thought I had better update about Buck.
He goes back to the orthopedic vets on monday for a review. I had to take him back to my vets on tuesday as I found a bit of a stitch appeared through the healed wound. My vet removed it and told me it was an internal stitch that had not disolved and had worked its way through his skin.
We are hopefull that the vet will give him the all clear to go for walks as he is strating to get a little tubby with 7 weeks cage rest. My vet has also given me a letter to send to the kennel club so that I can hopefully get permission to show him again. I have to do this as he has a lump were the plate is and will have a small scar.
